Lizzie nodded "'course...thought she'd be up by now though..."
she turned and noticed Miriel, who was still thouroughly engrossed in her book. "Hey, Miriel. How's your studyin' goin'?"
The other woman glanced in Lizzie's general direction "fine." she said before dipping her nose back into an especially fascinating chapter.

Anne had been awake for nearly ten minutes by then, but she was too confused about her conversation with Ed to go outside. Was she supposed to act like nothing happened? Would she be able to talk with Lizzie and not panic?
Eventually she figured that Verge was probably floundering out there by himself, so she flew slowly out of the tent, grimacing when the sunlight hit her eyes. "Good morning, everyone," she greeted. It seemed Miriel was busy doing what she did best, while Verge was sitting near the planning area, struggling to think of some way to interact with Lizzie. She flew over to him and alighted on his shoulder, causing Verge to nearly collapse with relief.
"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Anne asked, patting the side of Verge's head.

Realizing that she was going to get nowhere else with Miriel, Lizzie turned her attention to Anne "mornin', Anne." she said simply "I didn't think you'd be the type to sleep in like this"
Meanwhile Ed, having noticed the camp getting ready (for the most part) to move on, drifted over to hear some of the conversation. Seeing Miriel with her book, he decided to lean over and take a look at the text himself. As it was the chapter on the technical skills of the "sixth sense", he couldn't help but wonder if she was a magic-user or not. Of course, he hadn't seen her do any magic but, there were always those types that never used it that often at all. Still, having a magic-user in the group would make things a lot easier...
Miriel shuddered. "Anyone else cold?"

"No, we're actually pretty warm..." Anne said after Verge wiped his hand across his brow in reply. It was broad daylight, after all. She looked over at Miriel, then turned away quickly in panic after seeing Ed standing over her. How was she supposed to just ignore that?
"Uh, anyway, I had a hard time getting to sleep," Anne said hastily to Lizzie. "I'm usually up earlier than this."
Verge looked at his friend in concern. She was acting so odd. Seeing the look on his face, Anne jumped off his shoulder and hovered at Lizzie's height instead.

Ed backed off, mumbling a quick apology out of habit, and moved to a less populated spot of the camp.
Lizzie, now considerably more awake, looked over the map again "Same, but, we have to keep going, right? So...where're we heading? I was just telling Verge about this town over here- we can restock supplies, maybe explore the forests nearby. I think I heard a rumor about 'em somewhere along the road; it could be interesting."

"Yeah, and find a place to stay, too," Anne said. "They've got to have some kind of housing available, being so close to the city..."
Verge left Anne and Lizzie to the planning; he couldn't exactly contribute much. He started to pack his and Anne's things, rolling up the tent and getting the bags together.
He noticed Miriel... STILL reading. With the majority of his own stuff packed up, he took it upon himself to help Miriel out. She had all sorts of books and papers lying around from all her studying, so he put them all together in stacks and left them for her near her tent. She still didn't seem to notice.

Lizzie nodded, and traced a path from the town to the city "It shouldn't be too long if this road isn't blocked off, but, I heard that the bridge is out, so we'll have to find another path if we need to." she said thoughtfully as she looked over the map.
Meanwhile, Miriel was beginning to notice the outside world, and- placing the book-mark at its proper spot- moved to get her things organized. Seeing that Verge had already done so for her, she took mental note to thank him later, and went on with the packing. Of special note were her notes, scrawled messily on anything she could find. After all, she needed to keep track of any important discoveries, or, for that matter, anything that could lead to one. If anything, her notes took up most of her pack.

"The bridge?" Anne repeated. "I could always fly across and get to town ahead of time, if you want me to make arrangements for when the rest of you get there."
Verge tied up the rest of his and Anne's things and set them off to the side. He rejoined Anne and Lizzie, trying to get a glimpse of the map Lizzie had traced the route on. "Everything ready?" Anne asked, looking around him to see all their things packed. Verge nodded and held up his hand for Anne to rest on. "I guess we're ready to go whenever you are," Anne told Lizzie.

Lizzie nodded "There'll most likely be a lot of people going through, what with the rumors circulating and all. If there's anything I've learned from living my whole life in the city, it's that people flock to rumors like birds to a tree...or something like that. The point is that checking things before-hand would be real helpful." She turned her attention to Miriel "Got everythin'?"
Miriel slung her pack over her shoulder, and adjusted her glasses "ready and waiting." she replied.
"I guess we're all ready then!" Lizzie said cheerfully "Anne, we'll start walkin' and you can fly on ahead; does that sound peachy?"
Meanwhile, the resident ghost pondered the wisdom of sending someone- celestial being or not- ahead alone in unknown territory. He'd ask her about it himself but, there was the slight situation of everyone else being there at the time.

Verge despaired at the thought of being alone with Miriel and Lizzie again, but he knew that making Anne stay would be the worst thing he could possibly do at the moment. He couldn't let his disability drag them down.
Sensing her partner's distress, Anne patted his shoulder. "Sorry, Verge," she said. He gave her a small smile and shrugged in reply.
"Okay then, we're heading out!" Anne declared.

With everything packed and the troupe in high-spirits, they set out upon the road. Naturally, since it was a typical traveler's trail, it was well-worn, but incredibly easy to navigate (until one reached the more wooded areas but, that was a hurdle for the future, as opposed to the present), making it perfect for- what else?- travel.
Lizzie contented herself with small-talk with Miriel, while she walked along (with Miriel being absolutely fascinated with the "exotic" flora and fauna of that part of the country, however, it was mainly one-sided). Taking advantage of the lapse of attention, Ed went up to Anne.
"Hey, do you really think it's a good idea to go alone?"

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Anne replied. "There's probably nothing worth worrying about in a forest this close to town, plus I can always just fly away." Now she was a little irritated. Why'd he have to go and make her paranoid about being alone? "Remind me, you don't have any sort of... ghost magic?"

"You never know..." he said simply. He'd realized a long time ago that it was never a good idea to go somewhere (possibly) dangerous alone, lest you find yourself in a heap of trouble.
He moved onto her question. "Ghost magic? I'm not sure." he thought a moment "I mean, I've never tried. Is that even possible?"

"Don't ask me... Hm." Anne glanced back at the other three. "I bet Miriel might know something about this. Hang on."
Verge was a little hopeful when Anne flew back to the group - walking alone was a bit sad - but she gave him a quick shake of her head to let him know she wasn't staying.
She flew over to Miriel and Lizzie, interrupting their conversation. "Um, hey, Miriel," she said. "Can I ask you something?"

"says the celestial being..." Ed mumbled under his breath as he watched the fairy go over to Miriel.
Meanwhile, Miriel turned to Anne "What do you need?" she asked
