Having collected a trio of "How-to" books, one about sketching, one about photography, and one about paranormal investigation, Revi fell into a chair next to Caleb, who was reading a week-old newspaper. "Well, there we have it," she said, setting the pottery and paranormal books off to the side and flipping open the drawing one. "Our weekend's been planned."
"Wait, so we're going ghost-hunting?" Caleb asked. "I was hoping to do something more relaxing..."
"What's so stressful about ghost-hunting? You sit in a graveyard for a night, take pictures of some stuff, then tell your friends you saw ghosts. Easy."
Caleb glanced around quickly to make sure no one was around to hear him. "But, you know, what if we actually DO see a ghost? Not exactly a stress-free situation. I know ghosts probably aren't real, but my doctor said I can't take any chances with my blood pressure."
Revi looked at him in confusion for a moment, then remembered that there had been a mistake with his medication that month. It would be a week late. "Oh yeah... Sorry, I forgot about that. But for the record, 'probably aren't real'? C'mon, there's no way ghosts actually exist."

In the world of book-worms, it is a common trend to be one of three types of people: the type who prefers non-fiction, the type who prefers fiction, and the type who reads almost everything that's handed to them no matter what. While Janie admitted that she admired the third type, she had placed herself firmly among the group of fiction-lovers from an early age onward- not that that was a bad thing. It's not that she didn't like non-fiction, it was only that she felt fiction to be a bit more fun to read (and analyze, if she had to pick a book for a paper). As such, she had become a very speedy reader, and during her breaks, made a large allotment of time towards browsing libraries, and gathering stacks of books to read.
On that particular day, she had gathered a rather medium-ish stack of large-ish books, as opposed to the usual opposite situation. Setting them down on a table to leaf through, she took notice of a "How-To" book on paranormal investigation nearby, along with its presumably future readers. "I wouldn't recommend the graveyard near here." She said as she arranged her own stack of books "The spirits get antsy when people are around at night."

Revi and Caleb both turned towards the girl in stunned silence, neither of them sure how to respond to advice like that. "Um... Thank you," Caleb said after a few seconds. "Do you go to a lot of graveyards at night?"
At that Revi just closed her eyes and sighed. You weren't supposed to encourage these kinds of people.

She shook her head "No, only once in awhile. Restless spirits get lonely too, don'tcha know?" she added, before taking a rather hefty-looking graphic novel from her pile, and sitting down. She looked up from it for a moment "And, of course, considering that that particular yard is infamous for grave robbing, I can't really blame 'em for getting nervous when shady people drop by."

"I think she just called us shady..." Revi whispered before turning back around to face the girl again. "Grave robbing, really? I wouldn't think there'd be a lot of that in a neighborhood like this."
"You'd be surprised at the things some people bury themselves with," Caleb said, setting his newspaper off to the side. "My great uncle specifically wrote in his will that he wanted to be buried with his entire collection of vintage comic books. The collection was worth at least two thousand dollars."
"Okay, but I don't think your family is really a 'typical example'. Anyway-" she directed her words back to the girl, "-So, you really believe in ghosts? Have any proof?"

"That, and people are kinda crazy, ya know?" Janie replied, "Nothing really surprises me anymore. Of course, ghosts haven't surprised me for a very long time...except for a few tricky ones..." she added thoughtfully "It's kind of a funny story, but it's really, really long..." she said with a laugh "I've seen a lot of things, and spirits can be show-offy. Remember that one haunting where a ghost dropped a chandelier in the middle of a ballroom? It's a nifty trick, sure, but talk about a dramatic entrance!"

Revi was unconvinced. "That all sounds interesting, but I mean, it's kind of hard to believe. You've gotta know that, right?"
"What do you mean by 'I've seen a lot of things'?" Caleb asked, shaking his head at Revi. "What kinds of things?"
OOC: I gotta go to bed, but this was a decent start. We'll continue this later. G'night!

"Friend told me, he saw it for himself!" Janie said with a smile. "I wish I could'a seen it...I mean, I've seen a lot of weird stuff. The universe is kinda eccentric like that, don't you think?" She held up the graphic novel she had been reading, in order to accentuate her point "I mean, it's not like, comic-book weird- that's a whole other level, considering this one opens with a guy jumping into a dinosaur's mouth while wielding hand grenades- but it's still pretty strange. The truth is stranger than fiction, right?"
OOC: okay, g'night n_n~*
