ooc: okay then n_n I just remembered them, and I thought "wait..." and all XP and, that sounds good c:
I'm not sure how much longer we can take it though :/ hm... maybe up to when they have to depart to the future, and kinda leave it as a "gecko ending" of sorts... that is, before the epilogue *nods* I actually have a great idea for an epilogue of sorts, and I'm itching to use it XD

OOC: Gothca. Anyway....
BIC: Olive called Shooter to find out where the hell she and Leo were, and after some heated bickering agreed to meet them near the hotel they were staying at.
"Pack it up, guys," she announced. "We have to go meet Shooter and Leo back at the hotel."
"Ugh, that place," Mac groaned. "The something or other Sparrow, right? Crap customer service, lemme tell you."
"Oh, stop complaining. They didn't fluff the pillows or leave a mint, Get over it," Derek said, in reply to which Mac just stuck his tongue out... in a mature fashion.
"So you want to be left alone, then?" Dirk asked, hopeful. The night was growing ever more awkward by the second.

Lizzie couldn't help but overhear them. "The Silver Sparrow, you mean?" she interjected "I know the place. The man running it owed a favor to- to my brother. If he sees me with you, you'll get far better service. Besides, there's actually some information there, come to think about it. Contacts and such. I know the combination to where they're hidden. I'm sure they could be useful" she added, a determined glint in her eyes.
A brief look of panic passed over Francis' face, before promptly hiding itself far away. "Not really, no. If you don't mind, that is. I like company when I walk, it's just kind of a...thing" He never liked being alone. Besides, he wanted to keep his mind off of things. Distant company helped with that.

"'Contacts?'" Mac repeated, smiling slightly. Quietly, he said to Olive, "You know what's at the hotel?"
"A decent meal? ...Oh, wait, yeah. We could do that..." Olive replied, the same smile showing up on her face. "Tell Dirk to come meet us."
Mac took out his phone again a dialed Dirk's number.
Mac's ringtone brought a huge wave relief to Dirk. "What's up?" He answered. "...Oh, yeah, that's a good idea. Meet you at the hotel, then? Sounds good." To Francis, he said, "Hey, we gotta go to the hotel. Mac and everyone are headed over there."

"Exactly." Lizzie added firmly "I'll make sure you can get them."
Francis nodded, remembering that there was important information stored there. "Sounds like a plan." Once again, he decided not to question whatever device Dirk was using. They were awfully strange people, he thought, but, they were helping, and that's all that mattered, at the moment.

Once the entire gang had regrouped at the hotel, Olive told Shooter, Leo, and Dirk the plan.
"We have to go to the MASTH again?" Shooter groaned. She couldn't stand that place. It was old and creepy, but not in a 'treasure hunting' sort of way.
"Stop calling it the MASTH!" Olive grumbled. "But yeah, we'll just figure out how this all goes down from the Archive and then come back and pull it off. We'll be back before we even leave."
"But if we come back before we leave, then where are we?" Leo asked, pointing out the fact that the gang from the future should have showed up by now.
"Who cares? Just go get the thing."
Olive called in Mac, Emma, and Derek from the lobby. "We'll be right back," Mac told Lizzie and Francis. "We got some detective stuff to discuss."

Francis had been attempting to console Lizzie, at the time. He turned to Mac. "We can't thank you enough." he said with a slight smile "hope those files come in handy. They should, at least."
Lizzie cleared her throat. "Be careful" she added "don't want the wrong people getting involved, after all."

Shooter, Olive, Mac, Dirk, Leo, Emma, and Derek all sat around the small time travel device they had stolen from Baxter's AU self. It could travel any amount of time into the past of future, but there was a silent agreement in the group to not travel into the future unless absolutely necessary.
"'Kay everyone. Ready to go to The Massive Archive of Shit That's Happened?" Shooter asked, causing Olive to smack her in the head. There was a general nod of approval, so Shooter set the date back to the moment they had left for Chicago, then pressed the red button in the center.
There was the usual whirring noise as the machine started up, and then instantly the group found themselves sitting several feet away from where they had originally left. They could still see the faint blue glow that the machine tended to leave behind for a few minutes after travelling.
"Ah, it's good to be back," Olive said, standing up and stretching. "Let's shove off."

Meanwhile, Francis let out a deep sigh. "Think we'll be able to figure this out?" he thought aloud.
Lizzie shrugged. "I don't know...I mean, it's just..." she shook her head "I've got my foot caught in the door..."
"You should...I'd be the same way if I lost family." he replied, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "The whole thing's just a mess."
"You don't say?"

The Archive was a secret facility known only to the gang. It was found by Shooter who had thought she entering an every-day generic ruin for a treasure hunt. Instead, she found an extremely complex labyrinth of metal catwalks and screwed-up laws of physics. A convenient path to the control center had since been paved by the gang, but it was still an extremely dark and creepy place.
At the center of The Archive was some sort of computer terminal that housed records of every single event in history, ranging from the exact dates of wars to whether or not Joe Blow took a shower on a particular date. The gang assumed it was created by someone in the future as a means to make sense of all the time travel shenanigans perpetrated by various people throughout history, but it had other uses.
The database had a full-body scanner that somehow could figure out exactly what information the user was looking for. Olive volunteered to get scanned, even though it kind of tickled. Once she had finished up, a full, detailed report of the crime popped up on the relatively small screen. Olive scanned it, hoping that by skipping to the end she could just find out why Lo'ren went to prison, only to be surprised at the results.
"Oh, crap," she muttered, rereading the passage to make sure she had gotten it right.
"What's wrong?" Mac asked, waiting impatiently near the elevator.
"Lizzie and Francis die!" She answered angrily, stepping off of the platform.
"Wow, what a revelation. I thought they were gonna live forever," Dirk said.
"No, as in literally the next day. Lizzie gets murdered the day after we leave," Olive explained, a little sad that Lizzie was going to die but mostly sad that she and Mac had wasted a whole night on an inevitably futile case.
"That's horrible! Is it because of us?" Emma asked fearfully. This is why she hated time travel. It never led to anything good.
"No, we don't even go back, apparently," Olive said. "Which is weird, since we didn't even say good-bye or anything."
"Well, it's too late now," Mac said. "Destiny says we don't go back, for one thing, but really; do any of you want to go back and spend more time with two people who are going to be murdered?"
Nobody spoke up, so there was a collective sigh of disappointment before they all shuffled back on board the elevator. This kind of stuff happened occasionally just due to time travel, so none of them were too torn up about it.
"So, case closed?" Mac asked.
"Not really," Olive replied. "Lo'ren never gets arrested, apparently. But his gang does get ruffled by the police investigation."
"...Good enough for me."
And that was the end of that.

ooc: you got the time-stream mixed up XP but, it's all good XD
Epilogue One Year Later
Dent groaned as he looked over the witness testimonies for what must've been the hundreth time that night. He'd been working on the "White Rose" case for over a year now, and absolutely nothing was adding up. The bastard in charge was obviously very good at covering his tracks.
They came close, once, after the Pontefaire murder. He actually had information, even though the name had been removed, as the victim lay dying... What a pity. There was a similar matter involving the second Valentine murder, wherein the poor young lady had various information gathered, and ready to give to the police, it seemed, when the thugs found her, and promptly threw her in the drink. They'd found some of the information with the body but, it was illegible, at that point.
He remembered being called in specifically, after the first Valentine murder. What a mess that was! Of course, both the second Valentine murder, and the Pontefaire murder were connected to it, so... Well, it gave him jack anyways; what did it matter?
Yet, it still bothered him.
"I'll figure out eventually..." he mumbled, putting out his cigarette, and deciding to call a quits for the night. He looked up at the clear, dark night sky after locking up. He couldn't help but think about how that young lady looked, when he talked to her. She was broken-hearted in every sense of the word.
Well, whatever might happen, at the very least, the family got back together... even if they had to die to do it.
