The Call-Response Gambit is a device we came up with in The Days of Olde.
Say there are several people RP'ing at once. Your character punches another character in the face, but that person's turn isn't until everyone else has gone. The Call-Response Gambit is a way for someone to directly interact with someone else and allow that someone else to respond before the next person in the turn order goes.
To invoke the Call-Response Gambit, you must have this at the end of your post: ((person who you want to call)).
Example:
Joe, John, Bob, and George are RP'ing. Joe posts:
'Joe was walking down the street when he saw George. "Hi George!" He called. ((George))'
George posts:
'George saw Joe, and replied "Hi Joe!" Then kept walking.'
John posts:
'John was also walking down the street, doing nothing remarkable.'
Bob posts:
'Bob was also walking down the street.'
George posts:
'George stopped to get ice cream after his exhausting encounter with Joe.'
As shown above, George was given a turn to reply to Joe, but then the turn order proceeded as normal and George still took his actual turn.
Still don't understand the Call-Response Gambit? Just contact Wolfy, Mystic, or someone who DOES understand the Call-Response Gambit. Hopefully we'll see it in effect enough that we'll all get the hang of it soon.

1. Don't use it over and over again. Do your best to only use the Gambit once. If it is absolutely necessary, the person who was called on originally can call on someone else, and then after that person goes the turn order proceeds as if nothing happened. However, this can get confusing and we try to keep this to a minimum.
2. If the turn order does get jumbled, there's no shame in asking whose turn it is. If you're unsure if it's your turn or not, it's better to ask right away so that there isn't a huge delay in the RP.
Any questions? Mystic and Wolfy are the people to ask~
